The VELscope® Vx Enhanced Oral Assessment System centres on a wireless, handheld scope that uses natural tissue fluorescence to enhance the way our team visualizes oral mucosal abnormalities, such as oral cancer or pre-malignant dysplasia. More than 25 million VELscope® Vx examinations have been performed by over 15,000 dental practitioners in 23 countries. The technology is backed by more clinical studies than any other adjunctive device for tissue fluorescence visualization. (velscope.com)

Digital Radiographs
Digital radiography is a form of X-ray imaging using digital X-ray sensors instead of traditional photographic film. Benefits of digital radiographs of your teeth include time efficiency and less radiation needed to produce digital images.
Intraoral Camera
The intraoral camera is a tool used by our dentist to examine your mouth in as much detail as possible. The instrument, similar to the size an oversized pen, has a camera that takes real-time high-resolution images of your mouth appearing on a monitor.
Complete Oral Examination
All new patients of Dr. Wendy Low will have a Complete Oral Exam at your first visit then every three to five years depending on your individual oral health needs.
The Complete Oral Exam consists in our dentist looking inside your mouth for things that can affect your oral and overall health so we can catch problems early on before they worsen. These problems include damaged, missing or decayed teeth; early signs of cavities; the condition of your gums – periodontal pockets, inflammation or signs of gum disease which can lead to tooth and bone loss.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic dentistry refers to any dental work that improves the appearance of your teeth, gums and bite. It focuses on improving dental aesthetics in colour, position, shape, size, alignment and your smile.
Dental Emergencies
As soon as you experience toothache, call us to explain your symptoms so we can see you as soon as possible. We treat dental emergencies including chipped or broken tooth, knocked out tooth, badly bitten lip or tongue, something stuck between your teeth and lost fillings.
Crowns and Bridges
Crowns are synthetic caps made of a material like porcelain to place on the top of the tooth. Crowns are commonly used to restore a tooth’s function and appearance following a restorative procedure like a root canal. Crowns are used to restore the tooth when tooth decay has advanced so much that large portions of the tooth must be removed.
Fillings
A filling helps prevent further decay by closing off spaces where bacteria can enter. Materials used for fillings include gold, porcelain, a composite resin (tooth-coloured fillings), and an amalgam (an alloy of mercury, silver, copper, tin and zinc).
Implants
Implants are synthetic structures placed in the area of the tooth occupied by the root. Implants are anchored to your jawbone or metal framework on the bone, acting as a foundation for an artificial tooth or permanent bridge. Implants can also be used to attach dentures.
Teeth Whitening
Whitening procedures have effectively restored smiles with stained, dull, or discoloured teeth. Dentin, the darker tissue of your teeth can become exposed as the outer layer of enamel is worn away by effects of aging, caffeine and tobacco.
